What are the Candy C Pedals?
The Crank Brothers Candy C pedals are a reliable and light clipless bike pedal designed for all-round riding, including road.
Crank Brothers used the technology of the Eggbeater and added the small platforms to provide stability and making it easier to dismount often or to unclip on technical riding.
The simple and sturdy design of the stainless steel spring makes it easy to clip in, even in the muddiest conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are the cleats included with the Crank Brothers Candy C
Pedals?
A: Yes.
Q: How heavy are they?
A: 308 grams as a set, very light!
Q: Why is the release angle 15° or 20°?
A: 15° is the angle if you unclip on the outside and 20° if
you clip on the inside
Q: Are the Crank Bros Candy Cs a clipless pedal?
A: Yes, the Candy Cs are clipless. They're easy to clip in and out
of and are great for those who haven't gone clipless before as well
as for the experienced clipless cycler.
Q: How are the Candy pedals at clearing mud?
A: The Crank Brother Candy Cs are great at clearing mud! (also
great at clearing snow, ice and other gunk!)
Q: What is float?
A: Float is the amount of degrees your foot can move from side to
side when clipped into the pedal. Float in a XC pedal is essential
as it allows the knee to move naturally during the pedalling
motion.
Q: What's so special about these colours?
A: The RED, DARK BLUE and YELLOW Crank Brothers Candy C pedals are
limited edition colours and not available in most stores. We were
lucky to get our hands on a few, but they're going fast!
The standard Candy C are either Grey or Slate
Blue.
Expert Reviews
"The Candy does a good job of bringing Eggbeater technology to
trail riders... It's a simple pedal with a small platform - just
enough to add some stability when riding technical sections where
you may not be clipped in."

"On the market for a few years now, the Crank Brothers Candy C
pedals provide that little extra platform for those "just in case"
times when you can't get completely clipped in. They aren't as big
and beefy as the larger and more DH-friendly Mallet or Acid pedal
design, but they are perfect for all-around riding and even road
riding.
After using the Crank Brothers Mallet C pedals for two seasons, I
switched to the Candy's because they are lighter and better for
all-around riding. The design is small and light enough that I use
them on both my mountain and road bikes. I like having the same
type of platform regardless of the type of bike I'm riding, so
these are a great crossover pedal."
